Guy Harvey Hosts International Ocean Film Festival Fundraiser in Deerfield Beach
World-renowned marine artist and conservationist Dr. Guy Harvey celebrated World Ocean Day in Deerfield Beach with an international film festival featuring nine ocean-inspired short films from a diverse group of American and foreign filmmakers.
Dr. Harvey co-hosted the event with his daughter Jessica, CEO of the Guy Harvey Foundation. They gave a special presentation during intermission and hosted a Q&A. Guests also participated in a raffle and silent auction. The event was sponsored by JM Family Enterprises and Oceans 234.
Proceeds from the event support education and outreach efforts of the Guy Harvey Foundation, in partnership with Deerfield Island and Sullivan Park, to provide Broward County students with hands-on STEAM experiences.
