Casa Vieja Lodge, located in the heart of Guatemala’s Pacific coast, is a premier sport fishing destination renowned for its commitment to conservation and catch and release practices. The lodge offers guests a luxurious and sustainable fishing experience, with expert guides and top-of-the-line equipment to help anglers catch prized species like sailfish, marlin, and tuna.

Jessica Harvey, a visiting scientist and a GHF rep will be stationed on separate boats for the week and guests will rotate between boats according to a roster schedule organized by the Casa Vieja (CV) Fishing Director. After the first day, the GHF rep and the CV Fishing Director will confirm attendance each evening and make any changes to the roster if needed. (ie if people decide not to fish the next day). The boat roster will be shared every morning with guests at the dock. Guests will choose whether they want to fish inshore, offshore or a mixture of the two and be able to participate in dolphinfish tagging citizen science program during the fishing day. Following a day on the water, testimonials will be collected/filmed at the dock, during happy hour or in a designated interview location. Guests will be able to enjoy brief games at the lodge before dinner and an educational presentation after dinner on designated days. Guests will take turns being seated with the GHF staff at dinners every evening.

Approximately one month from the end of the expedition, a summary video of the experience will be shared with guests.
